Becoming Arielle

So we are less than a week away from the first set of filming dates,and I have been mentally preparing for the role of "Arielle". I have been chit chatting with Ms. O, (The director/ producer i featured in my previous blog post The Lady with The Plan) and a few of my cast mates. I've been Running Lines, Finding Arielle's voice,and discovering the similarities between myself and my character. However today I went through one part of the process of becoming Arielle physically. Hair!

I've been rocking/growing my locs for a little over a year now. So this in my first time getting a sew in over them. My first stop this morning was to my friends over at Loc Mamas to take care of my roots. I got a nice hot oil treatment for the first time. Wanted to make sure my hair was moisturized,etc.

and met up with my sister Nila O'Neal of Diva Styles,and she installed my sew in and below is the finished result!

Being Arielle will be a challenge for me in a lot of ways, she's a bit moody,and she'd definitely going through a lot,but her story will be unforgettable especially for me!

I'm looking forward to flying into New York next week and bringing Arielle to life in the movie "Strip"!
